My name is Lily and I graduated from Macleans College in 2019. As a first-year design student studying at the University of Auckland, I feel confused and could not see what my future might be looks like. However, I do know that I have a passion for designing and creating new projects that may help individuals to own and improve better lives in society. I would like to help people based on the needs they require and creates them through using photoshop, adobe illustration and laser cutter tools.
I have enjoyed using photoshop and illustrator to create my portfolio nicely through my experience with design at high school. This software has helped me to achieve my idea effectively as a designer as I can now using them to creates projects and works at University. I realized that there’s no better time than now to do exactly this — reflect on my personal evolution as an upcoming designer. To take the time to contemplate about my development, my successes and my failures.
As a group, I would like to get in touch with my friends and pay attention to those people who would need help. While doing the projects I would respect them by listening to their opinions and giving them my personal thinking. To be agreeable and avoid asking inconvenient questions is the best way during an individual’s speech. By doing this I reckon that the most essential step in the whole design process is understanding and respecting individuals.
As an upcoming designer, I would love to create a difference in society. As of now, I don't exactly know who I am as a designer. However, I know my passions and determinations surrounding the design courses and I would like to develop strong creating skills in the future.
